I joined Sennheiser in 1985 as an apprentice precision engineer. I then went on to work on coil and diaphragm production systems before joining the “semi-autonomous workgroups” pilot project. In 1997, I worked on the creation of our first fully automatic microphone and headphones product line. In 2000, I completed a Mechanical Engineering degree at night school and transferred to the production process optimization unit. My first project management role was in 2006 in the Consumer Products Development division. Since 2010, I have been working as an acoustics & transducer technology research project manager.
As project manager, I’m responsible for monitoring and keeping projects within their planned budget and timeframe. Project management at Sennheiser covers all phases from the firming up of an initial idea through to the start of mass production. My job is particularly interesting because it covers such a wide variety of tasks and has links to so many other areas. I thoroughly enjoy the challenges and really like working with different colleagues in our international subsidiaries. I also feel very much “at home” in our working environment.

I started with Sennheiser in 1997 in the Business Process Reengineering division. But I quickly discovered my talent for logistics and took over Management of Distribution Logistics in 1999. As a Supply Chain Manager I am now responsible for the design and realization of worldwide logistics processes in the Sennheiser group. I enjoy working with my colleagues and teams around the globe on complex international logistics projects. Logistics never stands still – there is always action, which is great. I think Sennheiser offers a perfect working environment: a medium-sized, family run business with a premium brand, global activities and projects and products I fully identify with.
My job is very multi-functional and requires me to master the many challenges that come with the speed and controllability of the supply chain. While using my in-depth process-knowledge, I can design and implement logistics processes for Sennheiser with colleagues around the globe. In daily business, it is particularly challenging to monitor supply chain performance and resolve any problems that might occur.
What makes Sennheiser such a good employer? The culture, the atmosphere, the sense of belonging and the many social components (pension, healthcare, training, …). I find it remarkable and admirable that Sennheiser places great value on having a coordinated international management culture. In my opinion, Sennheiser manages to perfectly combine tradition and values with highly modern strategies. I have the freedom to work independently in a great environment and in a very interesting job.
